A NEW RED BLEND OF RENACER.

The news keep coming from our winemaking team, and this time it is a limited edition red blend.

At the beginning of the 2019 vintage, our winemakers set out to make a limited edition Petit Verdot-based blend.

There are four varietals in this wine, some of which are more traditional in the winery than others, and that is the proposed challenge, to innovate. The largest percentage is 40% Petit Verdot, which comes from Cruz de Piedra in Maipú from vineyards over 15 years old.

With 22% Malbec from grapes coming from Paraje Altamira in Valle de Uco, from vineyards planted 17 years ago and with yields of less than 70 quintals per hectare. The Malbec is aged for 12 months in first use French oak barrels.

The Cabernet Franc is 19% of the final blend, the grapes come from Renacer's own estate in Perdriel Luján de Cuyo. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months.

The final component is Syrah, with 19% and from the Uco Valley. What makes this varietal's elaboration process characteristic is its hot maceration at 33° for 5 days after alcoholic fermentation and it is aged in an oak vat.

Fernando Sota, Winemaking Manager of the winery shared his tasting notes with us: "Punto Final Reserva red blend is a wine with notes of blackberry jam, dried plums and some spices such as green pepper. It has a very good balance between oak, nose and palate".

Punto Final Reserva is currently composed of Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and this new blend that adds.
