Bodega Renacer presents its new high-end rosé wine vintage 2020.

The winery launches a new limited edition rosé wine 2020 with grapes from Vista Flores – Valle de Uco at 1300 m.a.s.l., a place where this varietal achieves great expression thanks to its terroir.

Olivier Coquet, a French winemaker who has been part of the Renacer team since 2018, leads the winery’s “Rosados de Alta Gama” project, contributing his personal stamp and international experience. In each harvest, a different variety and geographical indication is selected to produce elegant rosés, with outstanding acidity and in limited quantities. In 2019 it was a Pinot Noir from Gualtallary and this year a Cabernet Franc from Vista Flores.

About the elaboration of the Cabernet Franc Olivier he tells us: “In a rosé wine delicacy and sophistication are combined. These aspects are present throughout the entire production process, from the analysis of the grapes, both in terms of colour, sugar and acidity before they are harvested, to the manual harvest in the early morning so that the freshness of the fruit at that time is translated into the wine.

The elaboration method is pressing, the whole bunch enters the press, so that the grape juice can be extracted quickly, with less colour and oxidation. After the press, two juices are obtained, the flower juice, which at sight presents less colour, and the pressed juice, more concentrated in aroma, colour and sugar. After a month of fermentation in separate tanks they are taken to the same place where the wine will rest for a few months on fine lees”.

Renacer Cabernet Franc 2020 is a bright and luminous rosé wine, with fresh red fruits such as cherries and strawberries on the nose and aromas of yogurt and cream, thanks to a 6-month ageing process. On the palate it is ample, with balanced acidity and a mineral finish. Only 1200 bottles have been produced.
