Bodega Renacer welcomes Miguel Almeida as new Head Winemaker

Bodega Renacer strengthens its commitment to identity and precision with the appointment of Portuguese winemaker Miguel Almeida as its new Head Winemaker.

With a solid international background shaped by the management of multiple terroirs, Almeida takes on the enological leadership, bringing a global perspective to the Mendoza-based project. 

Originally from the historic Douro region in Portugal, Almeida holds a degree in Agroindustrial Engineering with a specialization in Enology from the Instituto Superior de Agronomia in Lisbon. His career, spanning over 33 harvests, developed across Portugal, Germany, and Brazil. For two decades, he played a key role at Miolo Wine Group, where he served as winemaker in the estates of Serra Gaúcha, Campanha Gaúcha, and Vale do São Francisco. During this time, he collaborated for ten years with renowned international consultant Michel Rolland, sharing his enological vision and quality standards. 

Almeida is known for his holistic approach to winemaking, overseeing every stage from vineyard to bottle, and reflecting his strong commitment to fieldwork and authenticity in every creation.

His arrival at Bodega Renacer marks a new chapter focused on enhancing the expression of the Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley terroirs, with the aim of achieving greater precision, identity, and balance across the portfolio. This move further consolidates the winery’s position in the premium segment and strengthens its diversity in international markets.
