Once again Patricio Tapia, renowned wine critic who publishes every year his guide Descorchados, tasted Argentine wines and Bodega Renacer stood out with its wines above 90 points. This year he met in person with the winery's winemaking team, Fernando Sota and Gustavo Egea, who were joined by our consulting agronomist, Luis Coita Civit.
Renacer Merlot Rosé 2022, made from grapes sourced from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley, was awarded 92 points by the critic and this limited edition 2022 of only 4,500 bottles was one of the revelation wines of the report. It was also ranked among the best rosés and best Merlots.
On the other hand, Renacer Malbec 2019, obtained another valuable 92 points, a wine made with grapes from Luján de Cuyo and Uco Valley.
Of the Renacer specialties, Punto Final Reserva Corte de Tintas 2020, second edition of this wine and Punto Final Reserva Corte de Blancas 2021, first edition released in 2022 both received 90 points.
Punto Final Reserva Cabernet Franc 2020 was awarded another 90 points and continues to add awards to its showcase this year.
Fernando Sota, Renacer's winemaking manager, commented on the interview with Tapia: "It was very positive to have direct feedback with someone with so much experience about our wines, this allows us to understand even more the style of the wines in the future".
