In the 2021 vintage, Renacer's winemakers mimicked the institutional color and brought us a wine of that color; in 2022, they doubled that bet.
It was a success in all the wine shops in the country, events and private tastings, so today it is part of our portfolio of specialties. An orange wine made from Chardonnay grapes from Luján de Cuyo.
Fernando Sota, Winemaking Manager of the winery, tells us that the winemaking process is similar to that of a red wine, the must is left to macerate with its skins, and this contact with the skins makes the juice obtain a darker color than that of a white wine. Fermentation takes approximately 15 days and the wine is aged in second-use French oak barrels for 3 months.
The nose presents notes of ripe peach, apricot, ginger, flowers such as chamomile, and citrus flavors such as tangerine peel and pink grapefruit on the palate. In addition, aromas of vanilla and bourbon can be found, the result of its brief contact with used barrels. It is a vibrant wine, with fresh acidity and a sweet finish.
It is a limited edition of 6,000 bottles and is available in the winery's wine shop, in the main wine shops in Argentina and in all Enogarage branches. It is priced at $3425.
