Punto Final Naranjo, just as it sounds and reads, Naranjo wine. The winemakers at Renacer took the institutional colour and brought us a wine of this colour:
This style of winemaking has evolved from being a trend that started around 2011 to become a new speciality in Argentina. Productions are usually small, it is made throughout the country and can be of different varieties, depending on the availability of white grapes or the preference of the winemaking team.
It is a Chardonnay harvested at a medium point of maturation, its elaboration process is like that of a red wine, that is to say, the must is left macerating with its skins; and this contact with the skins makes it have a darker colour than the white wine. The fermentation of this wine lasts approximately 15 days, at 18°. It is aged in second use French oak barrels without toasting for 3 months.
The question is: How is the colour achieved? Olivier Coquet, winemaker of Renacer explained: The particular colour is because polyphenolic components are extracted, that is to say: colour and yellow tannins that with oxygen oxidise a little, and thus the orange tone is achieved.
It is a versatile and easy-drinking wine, perfect with light pastas and seafood. It has notes of ripe peach, apricot, honey and flowers such as camomile.
It is available in the winery's wineshop, in the main wine shops in Argentina and in all Enogarage branches. Its price is $ 1800.
