The 2018 vintage of Renacer Malbec and Cabernet Franc is ready.



After periodic tastings, Fernando Sota and Olivier Coquet, Renacer's winemakers, gave the go-ahead for the new vintages of our icon wines to go on the market and they are already in the main wine shops of the country.


With two varieties, the wines with the big orange R on their label have been produced since 2003, with grapes of the best quality from the first wine-growing areas of the province.


The Malbec, which comes from El Cepillo and Guatallary, in the Uco Valley, and from Perdriel, their own estate in Luján de Cuyo. It has a careful and dedicated winemaking process, double selection of clusters, cold maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. It is aged in first use French oak barrels and has a 6 months ageing in bottle.


This high-end Malbec was awarded 92 points at the International Wine Challenge and was noted for its "deep colour, aromas and silky tannins.


Renacer Cabernet Franc 2018, one of the first icon wines of this varietal in Argentina, with grapes from Vista Flores and our Perdriel estate. It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels from the Troncais and Jura forests, this type of wood respects the typicity and fruit and adds sweetness. It is then stored for 6 months.


Recently tasted by the prestigious James Suckling, the iconic Cabernet Franc 2018 scored 91 points, highlighting its aromas, great body and firm tannins.


Fernando Sota, Winemaking Manager concluded about the 2018 vintage "The diversity of climate and soils in each region contributed a key component to achieve the excellence of each varietal, and we are confident that after 2 years of hard work we obtained the wines we expected".
