The Master of Wine, Tim Atkin, rated Renacer

The well-known wine critic tasted our Puntos Finales, the scores were published last week, and the Malbecs and Cabernets in this line were recognised for their excellence.

Punto Final Reserva Malbec 2019, with grapes coming from the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo was the favourite with 93 points. The Cabernet Franc 2019 from the same line obtained 92 points. In the Punto Final varietal category, the Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, whose grapes are all from our Perdriel estate, was awarded 91 points and the Malbec 2020 90 points.

Atkin tasted from his home in London for 21 days and arranged more than 100 interviews as he was unable to visit the country this vintage. In a conversation with a local media he highlighted: “Argentina’s high-end is of international level. Every year I see more and more focus on the expression of the vineyard, on unique and individual styles. The changes in the last 30 years have been remarkable”.

“We are very excited with these scores because they confirm that we are on the right track, our daily work and commitment is reflected in these recognitions” detailed Patrio Reich, CEO and Founder of Bodega Renacer.
