We renewed our carbon footprint certificate.

In 2022 we measured and certified again the carbon footprint generated by the delivery of our wines to the warehouses of all distributors worldwide. In conjunction with the Chilean company Carbon Neutral, the Marketing team of the Renacer winery conducted this study to carry out the new measurement.

Since our inception we have been committed to the environment and in 2011 we were the first winery to certify the carbon footprint for the entire process of transporting its wines.

The objective has always been to calculate the emissions from the transportation of our cases of wine from the winery to distributors' and customers' warehouses by land and sea transport, and thus compensate for them. The renewed certification is "Carbon Neutral Delivery", and affirms that the winery manages to reduce to zero tons of CO2e emissions generated by the winery.

How is this calculation made? There is an international methodology that includes different internal audits taking into account the sources of emissions considering the operational approach.

How is it offset? We chose to purchase green bonds for two programs in which the amount of the cost of neutralizing these emissions is invested: "Acre Amazonian Rainforest REDD+ Brazil" and "Project: Wind Power Portfolio, Chile".

Acre Amazonian Rainforest REDD+ Brazil aims to prevent deforestation in 105,000 hectares of virgin rainforest in the Amazon basin by providing local communities and groups with alternative economic development models that avoid the destruction of the forest. The Wind Power project, located in southern Chile, generates tons of clean energy to power thousands of homes.
